The Rotary Club of Alturas Sunrise hosted the 2011 Quad-Club meeting at newly remodeled Historic Niles Hotel in Alturas. The annual event invites fellowship from other local area Rotary Clubs and is an opportunity to raise money for future projects within our community. The meeting was well attended by Rotary Club members from the Alturas Rotary Club, Surprise Valley Rotary and the Rotary Club of Lakeview, Oregon. Sunrise Rotary Club President Monica Derner welcomed everyone with a special five-course gourmet meal prepared by Chef Dan Irvin, local boy and son of Rotarian Jim Irvin. Dan is the head Chef at the University of Oregon (Ducks). An auction fundraiser rounded-out the evening with some special unique items going for a pretty penny!!
